David Weiss elected Vice Chair of DAMOP

Members of the American Physical Society's Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics have elected David Weiss to serve as Vice Chair.

Congratulations to Dave Weiss on his election as Vice Chair of the Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (DAMOP). As an officer of DAMOP for the next 3 years, Weiss will first serve as Vice Chair and then Chair-Elect before being appointed Chair in 2015. Founded in 1943, DAMOP is the oldest division of the American Physical Society and focuses on the fundamental study of atoms, simple molecules, electrons and light, and their interactions.
