Gerald Mahan honored with 2015 ITS Outstanding Achievement Award

The International Thermoelectric Society has awarded Gerald Mahan, Distinguished Professor of Physics, the fifth ITS Outstanding Achievement Award. The award, co-sponsored by Komatsu and supported by the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, recognized Professor Mahan for "seminal contributions to the theoretical understanding of electronic and thermal transport in thermoelectric materials." The ITS also noted that his prolific scientific works (journal articles, conference proceedings, books and book chapters) have served as "continuing inspiration for generations of researchers working in the field."
