Recent developments in cold atom physics have opened up possibilities of producing systems with gge potentials (both abelian and non-abelian), and even synthetic dimensions. In this talk, I will discuss physics of interacting fermions in these systems, touching up on a variety of novel states and phenomena such as rashbon condensates to baryon squishing in synthetic dimensions.
