FTheory: Horizon Entropy, Entanglement and Noether Charge
A derivation of the first and second laws of thermodynamics for dynamical perturbations of the Rindler horizon is presented in the context of perturbative general relativity. Two versions of the first law are distinguished: one relating area change to energy flux, and one relating Noether charge to the Rindler Hamiltonian. When the theory is quantized, the Noether entropy perturbations coincide with entanglement entropy perturbations. A connection is drawn with recent results on gravitational entropy in the AdS/CFT setting.
