FTheory: Soft-Pion Theorems for Large-Scale Structure

Consistency relations, which relate an N-point function to the squeezed limit of an N+1-point function, are potentially extremely useful in large scale structure because of their nonperturbative nature.  In this talk I will discuss how these may be derived systematically using residual coordinate freedom in Newtonian gauge, with the velocity potential fulfilling the role of the soft pion, and under what conditions the consistency relations may be violated. Our derivation reproduces the result discovered by Kehagias, Riotto, Peloso and Pietroni (KRPP) in the non-relativistic limit, and relates  their result to the special conformal symmetry in zeta-gauge.
