Neutrino produced from the cosmic ray interactions in the atmosphere constitute a background to the high energy neutrinos which arrive to Earth from distant objects in the Universe. In particular, the neutrinos which come from the decay of the charm in the atmosphere (prompt neutrinos) are an important component at highest energies. The evaluation of the fluxes of prompt neutrinos suffer from number of uncertainties. In this talk I present recent calculation of the prompt neutrino flux and discuss the different sources of uncertainties.
