Special HEP: UHECRs and the Galactic Magnetic Field
In this talk I will present estimates of the global structure of the
coherent and random magnetic field of our Galaxy as derived from the
diffuse Galactic synchrotron emission and rotation measures of pulsars
and extragalactic polarized radio sources.
Using these estimates I will discuss the uncertainty of our knowledge
of the deflections of charged particles in the Galactic Magnetic Field
and implications for the interpretation of the arrival directions of
ultra-high energy cosmic rays.
