I will take about the charge transport properties of semiconducting polymers and organic small molecule singles crystals at ultra-high carrier densities (∼1014  cm−2), induced by electrolyte gating.   I will discuss the variable–range hopping in two semiconducting polymers, P3HT and IDTBT, measured by the temperature dependence of resistivity, magnetoresistance and Hall effect. The relationship between the structure of the polymers film and transport properties will also be mentioned. In small molecule single crystal rubrene, we report conduction unprecedentedly close to a two-dimensional metallic state.
