Undergraduate Research

The Department of Physics has been designated a Research Experiences for Undergraduates site by the National Science Foundation. This program is designed to give a group of undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in frontier physics research at a major research facility. Approximately twenty positions will be available at Penn State during the summer. Students will work closely with one of the Penn State faculty members, together with graduate students and postdoctoral scholars in the research group. Students will experience the challenge and excitement of a career in research (and perhaps the occasional frustrations too). We support students from universities across the country to visit the University Park campus.

If you are not a Penn State student, then please visit the main REU page for more information.

If you are currently student at the Penn State University (any campus), then please visit the Physics summer research program for more information.
